The Ambassador Program is critical for the success of the Animals & Religion website.  Volunteer ambassadors—including scholars, faith leaders, and activists of faith—ensure that website content is trustworthy and credible from an insider’s point of view, and that our posts are on point for bringing tangible change for animals in the here and now. Ambassadors assure that the content on the Animals & Religion website is designed and presented for the needs of people of faith and those who advocate among or teach people of faith.

Ambassadors are chosen because they have both a demonstrated commitment to the cause of animal liberation and to working respectfully across all branches of their religion. Key tasks for ambassadors include:

• Outreach & Advocacy:  Promote Animals & Religion mission and content through personal networks and inside their faith communities. Seek, create, and participate in public forums, interviews, conferences, and social media both online and offline to promote the Animals & Religion project.

• Education & Inspiration: Moderate discussions, answer questions, share knowledge, and foster productive conversations on the Animals & Religion website. Post articles on the Animals & Religion blog and share personal experiences, challenges, and success stories with website visitors to demonstrate the power of faith and of religious ethics for bringing positive change for animals. 

• Credibility & Trust: As insiders, assure that the content is authentic, appropriate, and dependable.

• Feedback & Development: Collect insights and suggestions from personal networks and their own faith community for future website development.

The Animals & Religion website will have an ambassadors’ page featuring each ambassador—their credentials, affiliations, major accomplishments, and important contributions both to animal activism and to faith communities.
